Matt Bellamy - Ninja

Self Proclaimed ninja: I enjoy skulking around the Country 103 environment only using the most elite stealth skills taught to me by a wise old sage high atop the Rocky Mountains. My red hair can often times be a dead giveaway to my enemies which is why I choose to wear a hat at any and every opportunity.

My nemesis is Afternoon Drive host Louis "The Big Rig" McIvor. When he was still driving 18 Wheelers, Louis found me cold, alone and barely clinging to my sanity in a snowed in mountain pass one bitter and cold winter evening. I vaguely recall seeing his shadowy figure lit by the fire in the horn he clutched to his chest as he rode on horse back through pitch darkness. He told me that he worked for a great beast of a man named Kelly Moore, that he was a generous fellow who would welcome me with open arms to the Country 103 family. This all sounded great to me, my health was slowly coming back and I was eager to put myself to good use; perhaps it was a calling?

Around the flickering and crackling fire, Louis told me many a grand tale about Country 103: The fierce sales team led by Brett McIlwain, the Rise N Shine morning show with the omnipotent Howie Reimer. Shawn Pooley, whose skills of courting women have been much talked about and studied. And the lovely and talented Weekend Host Jamie Lynn who shared my passion for Entertainment Gossip. Surely such a motley group of talent would be reticent about my arrival, for who am I? My doubts however were not to be vilified as many of them grunted and tipped their hats in approval - I had found a new home.

We listened to country music all day, it was a glorious time and smiles were all around. I grew increasingly comfortable and possibly naive towards this wonderful new atmosphere, I should have remained alert and on edge as I had been taught; a shadow from my past was to return. During my daily ninja reconnaissance I saw it- Louis McIvor deliberately tossing scrap paper into the trash can and not the recycle bin which was sitting directly next to it. His steely eyes met mine, it was a showdown like in a Leone western. Seconds, minutes, hours passed as we stared each other down, we both knew that from that moment on we would be enemies, there was no going back.

At Country 103 everyone has a story.
